Copying a Canvas Site

The first step in the course copy process involves importing items from a previous ICON course site. One this is done, you can easily transfer additional materials from other platforms. When copying material over from an ICON site, you can transfer Course Settings, Syllabus, Modules, Assignments, Quizzes, Questions Banks, Discussions, Pages, Announcements, Rubrics, Files and Calendar Events.

UICapture content from previous UICapture course folders will not copy over in the Canvas course copy process. There are two options for copying content into a new UICapture course folder:

Gradescope dashboards and assignments aren't transferred during the Canvas course copy process. If an ICON assignment was linked to a Gradescope assignment, the ICON assignment will be copied, but it will need to be relinked to the Gradescope assignment. Peercptiv assignments are not copied over when using the Canvas course copy. Once a Peerceptiv course is copied, Peerceptiv will search for ICON assignments with the same name in ICON and will link these existing assignments with the Peerceptiv assignments. An ICON Quiz that uses LockDown Browser will be transferred over in the Canvas course copy process. It is important that the instructor selects the LockDown Browser link in the course navigation to activate the connection between LockDown Browser and the ICON Quiz.
