The ITS Office of Teaching, Learning, and Technology provides expertise, tools, and services to optimize teaching and learning through learning sciences research, ICON, teaching and learning data, and advanced classroom and instructional technology.
Our department consists of three units:
- Instructional Services delivers service management and support for instructional technology used across the university, such as ICON, UICapture, Top Hat, Turnitin, Elements of Success, and more. They provide training, documentation, and guidance to instructors and staff on implementation and best practices. The team's course improvement coordinators partner with instructional teams to improve outcomes in large introductory courses.
- Learning Spaces Technology provides technology consulting, training, and management of more than 300 technology-equipped learning spaces across campus and designs and install audio visual equipment in classrooms, labs, and meeting spaces to meet the needs of instructors, students, and staff.
- Research and Analytics can transform gigabytes of data into teaching and learning insights and help you understand how students are using course materials.
