The ICON Direct program’s new lower price of $10 for Top Hat has resulted in 35% more orders for the fall 2024 semester versus fall 2023. As use of the student engagement tool increases, further price reductions may be possible.

Top Hat allows students to enter responses via their cell phones, laptops, or tablets through an app or web browser. It can make your classes more interactive, facilitate class discussions, guide lectures, encourage peer instruction, and allow for immediate student feedback and polling.

Register for our Top Hat workshop “Quick Steps to Increasing Engagement: Adding Top Hat to Your Course” during our ICON Day event on Friday, Nov. 1. Mike MacCourt, professor of practice in the Tippie College of Business, will join this session to look at practical ways instructors can use Top Hat to build quick, meaningful engagement opportunities into their current courses.
