This guide shows how to use the digital imaging projector in a University Classroom. Select classrooms are equipped with this A/V projection system to help facilitate teaching and learning.
Common Projector Issues
The projector appears to turn on but will not provide projected image:
- Check to see if the equipment is on.
- Switch the A/V display source/input, then switch back. If PC is the selected, switch to Blu-Ray (the player must be on and display the logo or menu). Wait 5 to 10 seconds then switch back to PC.
- Check the A/V control panel interface is unmuted. The projector fan will be running and a faint light may be seen from projector lens.
- Shut down the A/V system, wait 30 to 35 seconds, and restart.
- if the issue persists, the projector lamp may be overheated and/or filters may need cleaning.
The temp or temperature light on the projector is on or blinking, it will require a manual restart:
- Unplug the projector's electrical cord for about 5 to 10 seconds, briefly press the power button, then plug it back in before restarting the lectern's A/V system.
- If the issue persists, the projector's filters may require cleaning.
- If the issue persists after filter cleaning, the projector lamp may require replacement.
